Guess I get to be the first? follow up in class comment. We were talking about poverty. I commented on ur statement that maintaining stratification is necessary for Capitalism to work. My comment : can't we maintain stratification but bring the bottom line up? Does the bottom have to be so low? Additionally, the text sez that the rich are gettin richer while the numbers for the poor stay the same. any thoughts?
